What do you do with your old books?

My wife is having a book collection in her house which contains books from her kg class to degree completion. She is a great book work and don't give her book to any one. But i am not in her sort, always i give my books to my brother or junior students to help them for their studies.

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong in collecting books, but this book collection may give some pleasure and benefits to us, but if we give our books to other persons, they will get knowledge using our book and appreciate us for our help, this kind of appreciation will give some pleasure to us, also our book will help other to improve their knowledge it will give some satisfaction to us. This kind of book collections don't give this kind of satisfaction.

What about you? Do you give your books to other person or collecting your books like a library? some persons will give their old books to waste paper shop, do you have this kind of habit?

I keep it in a book shelf for future references. It comes in handy when there are researches you know. Sometimes I cut it's pictures for projects and assignments. I also do lend it to friends in the lower grade.

I kept also my book when i was a high school until college.now that i have children already,if they have assignment sometimes they can search also from my books.and also i think we need also to treasure it because i can say that,that is already part of our life's.we can still remember our past school day if we can still have it.

i have so many collection for old comic books, start form japanese and western comic. for all of old comic that i have, i always save in my room. i have private library that consist of comic books.

If it sometime important and I can also use it in the future I keep it. But if I know I wont be needing it in the future i give them to my younger relatives so they can use it and learn from it.

I am also have lot of collection of books. As I love reading books I have collected so many books. The collection contains all varieties like literature, fiction, non fiction etc., Whenever I find time I used to read the boks from my collection. I also give the books to my friends and encourage them to read the books.

I have a lot of books.. specifically math books,
and it's really helping coz' my line of specialty in engineering..
I'm not giving it.. We have a mini library and my relatives are free to visits if they want to browse books or review some of their notes..

Well, I also have different classifications of books, novel, references.. etc.' ^^

i donate my old books and i have also my collection in my room.

I am not a book collector,thu I love reading books.
I only have few book in my shelves and usually I read magazines and subscribes to reader's digest also Time magazine .
I also have few collections of National Geographic books.
I prefer true life story books and documentaries.
So,I am very choosy when it comes to collections.

There are many ways to use old books can be sold in flea markets or on ebay del'usato or other specialized sites or you can do or donate to a library bookcrossing.

Actually, I keep the old books in our book shelves so that the books should be neat and clean. We throw the very old one books.

We have our own personal view on this I guess. For me, I do both. I keep the reading materials that I think is most valuable for me since I love to read books over and over again and give away books that I think would be helpful to other people. But on the business side of things, I always do it via book sale. It's like making money out of something that has no use for me anymore and still I help other people because I kinda recommend the books they need to read either for more knowledge or plainly reading pleasure.
