What do you think about the alternate energies?

Do you think we will found an alternative energy very fast and enough powerful to generate energy on a massive scale?

I mean the environmentalists want to replace all the so-called dirty energies by clean energies in a very short time.

Is it realistic?

I think they can do that. People nowadays can easily come up with new ideas. They always find new things and new ways for better living. I think it's good to have those kind of people. Cheers for them!

The real problem with this new energies is that they are to expensive to the governments. If science could invent a cheaper way of making "non-dirty" energy, we'd see a bigger revolution. But we are "walking" in the right way

Sure we can do that one day but not immediately. For instance a country like France is the 2nd nuclear power in the world (behind the US) and 78% of its electricity are derived from its nuclear plants. The environmentalists want the French government to close ALL their nuclear plants in the shortest delay and replace them only by clean energies (wind, solar, etc...). You have to know that France have the more secure plants in the world (via a series of stress tests) and is developping the new nuclear plants generation (called EPR) that is even more secure than the old ones. Earthquakes and Tsunamis have almost or none chance to happen in France (and remember that the nucear plant in Japan resisted well to the earthquake).

The clean energies do not produce massive energy (in a large scale) at the moment and it will cost far much more for the users.

it is good for our's to have clean energies but i cost very high to government to supply all of us they can't afford it easily so it is difficult but in future it could be possible
