They both have their own side effects, tobacco causes obvious problems, and I believe smokeless tobacco causes problems in the lungs as well..
In the end both of them are bad for you.

you mean stuff like e-cigarettes? Indoor use? they arent that good for you, in general smoking isnt safe and to me not even addictive, I wouldnt recommend starting as it is a nasty habit and holds you back from doing things you enjoy.

Its a similar thing with marijuana. There are these 'legal' products around that can cause brain damage, I mean why would you risk that. Its your body or the law, and if your deemed to start smoking then make sure you understand what your doing.

in my opinion, dont start. I wasted £7( like $13 ) a day at one point.

It's really just a matter of choosing which cancer you'd rather die from. Personally, I smoke about a half-pack per day and I really don't care for it anymore.
