I choose to use Avira Premium, so its up to you. What is your best Anti Virus Software that helps you a lot in detecting different types of viruses?

I have tried so many antivirus softwares, FREE and paid. The one I would recommend is AVAST and, because the free version doesn't come with a firewall, ZONE ALARM.

The best is Avira antivirus. It doesn't eat much of your RAM not like Norton and Kaspersky. Avira Free antivirus is also cool, as it can detect trojans. Not all free antivirus can do that, you need to buy the full or premium version in order to detect trojan virus.

The best anti-virus for me is that of AVG Free Edition. 1) I use a lot of automated software in the back ground such as CashGopher and Vagex and sometimes viruses are looped through those programs, AVG is tactical enough to block any threats and allow me to continue my computing experience as normal.

I love ESET NOD 32, and I am sure once you use it, you will just give up on any other Antivirus software in the industry. I think you should try it, oh by the way, I would vote ESET in the poll, too bad you didn't mention it there.

Avast is good but it's useless without Malwarebytes. Together in team, no virus can go through to my PC's defenses.

Oh, I see. But install Malwarebytes, it helps a lot. I don't have any virus on my PC since over 9000 days.

I understand. People in Brazil and Portugal say that Avast is the best. But I have to find out for myself. My brother understands more about PC experience than me, maybe he is dumb or not, I can't figure it out.

AVG and Norton makes my PC slower. It also eats up my memory and takes a lot of time scanning. Avira is fine with me though especially the free anti virus.

AVI Anti-virus is a really nice program, strong and stable, better than the others if you can say.. it detects many viruses at a time.. better than Norton and the others
