I'm curious. To be honest, I came up with my answer to the question when I was really stoned, but nontheless I think it's accurate. Even now.

So, basically, i think the Soul, as a noun, is a collection of other peoples thoughts about you as a person.

If I were to explain it a different way, it would be like this:

Your soul is basically the figurative embodiment of everyone's thoughts, including yours. So when people say that after you die your soul is still there, it's because others are still thinking about you.

Idk, if that makes sense. It does to me though.

What are you thought?

Also, before any intense arguments start. keep in mind:

I think the soul is your spirit. The energy of your life that functions your heart and body. Without our soul your body wouldn't be pumping your heart therefore you would be dead as nothing. But that's an interesting point of view you have, and everybody has different view on this.

I disagree with this one , "a collection of other peoples thoughts about you as a person" all ties in with just memories. A soul definition in my opinion would be different.
I'm not sure how to explain this but hope you get the idea of what I'm trying to say.

The soul isn't anything. It's a construct created by our own minds in an attempt to separate us from nature and mortality.

I pretty much see what your trying to say here. It's a very nice way to see the soul for what it is. Tbh I agree with this. Never thought of it this way.
