What Kind of Forum to start?

I'm into growing sites and like to interact and talk to people online. I was wondering what kind of site would be great to start up and get working. I want it to be a kind of forums but I want a specific topic or niche to talk about on there. I've already had my own forum and was just a general discussion forum and it grew but couldn't last. I want something to grow that will stay and will interest a lot of people. If you know of any ideas or niches to start with and help grow please shoot me a PM and we can talk about it. Thanks for your suggestions if you have any!

That is why general forums have started popping up since if you focus on one niche it'll die or due to the other original forum probably being better.

Just try another general forums along with a niche.

I've noticed most have been created, I'm just trying to think of a cool niche to start.
