I am in a situation here. Here is the full story:
Got into legal trouble. I'm 16. Lawyers are expensive as shit. Spent my life's savings to pay for my lawyer, and other fees. Still owe my parents $550. Have a shitty laptop that I need to sell. Could possibly get $400 on eBay, but my dad needs it. I wont get as much money if I gave it to my dad, but I want to help him out.
I need either a MacBook Pro, and or a PC. If I don't get a MacBook Pro, I will get a badass PC. But I am stuck on whether or not to get a Desktop (if I don't get a MacBook Pro) or get a really good laptop that would be as good as a desktop. Or get a less of a laptop, and get a Macbook pro.
I will be doing a lot of hardcore stuff on the PC, and I need it to last a long time. It needs to be badass, and I mean gaming ready, but also business-workstation ready.
Thing is, I have to pay my dad back, as well as start saving the money for this new computer. I am trying to hack some RSGP's, like several bils to pay for my new computers, but it's going slow. Not to mention school starts in a week and so there will be minimum time for me to work on making money. Currently, I have no money saved up, as it all goes to my dad. I have a bunch of shit I wish I could sell, but can't.
Other questions I have:
Should I custom a desktop, if I were to go with that option, which I don't want to? Or get a desktop from iBuyPower, or a site similar to it. Xoticpc?
Here is what I want, minimum in a laptop:
8GB Ram, preferred 16GB,
1TB HDD, no less than 7200rpm or
500gb SSD
Amazing Graphics card
17"+ screen
Long ass battery life
Last me for the rest of my schooling (high school and college)
$2k?
I just don't want a desktop at this point. If I make money with my new laptop, I might get one. But I need a desktop. Really workstation.
I will also be getting like a cooling pad, as well as a full HD monitor to dual monitor with. Will be stationed in my room. Etc. Balls to the wall on this. I was thinking a higher end msi? Samsung series 7? I just don't know. I need to talk this out.
I know it will probably be a year until I actually get a new computer, merely because of the money issue. But still I need to figure out now what it is so I can set the goal.
Thanks for reading, eXero.
