I am just curious, what are the benefits for upgrading to Elite? I can't find them anywhere.

Also, is it possible to pay with RSGP?

Mike deals with RSPG upgrade payments, PM him.

Benefits include the userbar and access to a private section with various extras in there and ability to give +3/-3 reputation too.

The private section is dead, no point in buying it just for the private section.

Nobody said to buy it just for the private section. And although the private section is good, there are still some good giveaways there from time to time and I also believe Management has some good plans for upgraded members soon too.
