What the Fk is Like?

This is a simple question, Where and why has the rep system gone?

What is the Like system? is it just like the Thanks button? but because the thanks button is different it means you can Thanks and UnThanks. also it has all the date and that on it?

So because the Rep system gone, do we have to start again with the Like System?

Ok, but the Like button is higher then all the rest of the buttons =) My OCD is kicking in!

The like system will be replacing the reputation system. The like system is just a lot better in general. There will no more arguing about reputation, and to get a like, you have to make a good post.

I'm member on another site (non gaming community) and they have both the like and the rep systems. I tried repping 3 users in one day because they all had made a valuable and helpful contribution to a topic of debate. But.... the site would only allow me 2 reps every 24 hours which meant one person was not repped which is unfair in my opinion.

So I prefer the like system for the simple fact that it's more casual. Where someone might be hoping to gain reps others will gain likes without realising it for simply making a reply that is humorous, helpful, enlightening and other things. Personally I click the like button a lot when I find someone write a post that is sarcastically funny without being abusive and users liked me a lot too which was nice, it made me feel all warm inside!:yeye:

I've suggested a "Like" button on a semi-big forum, around 40.000 posts, but it was declined. I suggested to replace Reputation with Likes since I'd much rather say "Thank you", or "I like your post", than going over to his page, and give that specific user a reputation. Reputation causes nothing but drama, I wish big boards, especially MyBB forums would switch to Likes instead of the reputation system. There are lots, and lots of members who whine about negative reputation, or asks for it.

I think it was one of the best implementations that the site got so far, I really like that system, well done.
