I wanted to know what everyone thinks. Both have their advantages and disadvantages.

College you have the choice to succeed or not to succeed.
College you can choose your classes / career

High School you have no choice over than going.
High School you take pointless classes you will never use.

I haven't gone to college yet since I'm 16 so I can't say anything about it, but I like how in high school I can keep a good average without putting in much effort outside of school.

Depends if that's your strong suit or not. I personally hated English class in High school and College.

You're a man after my own heart. I think the exact same about English.

Since I'm only 15, one thing I worry about is proper preparation for college. I have a 4.5 GPA because high school is very easy too me also but I know that college will be much more challenging than high school.

College allows more personalisation over what you're learning to ensure that it is relevant to you and your future. This is not the case with high school, where it is not only mandatory, but also not specifically tailored to your interests.

High school / secondary as they call it in UK
Make you do every & any classes! E.g RS you cant drop out of RS because it is mandatory.

If you've actually paid attention in elementary and high school those college essays should be no problem.
(But don't take my word for it, I'm not in college yet)

There's a huge difference between college and elementary papers. Elementary: half a page. College: 15 pages

My summer assignment for my AP US History class is 50 pages of notes and vocab! Which we'll be quizzed on the first week of school. I can't imagine how difficult college is going to be :/

Damn, that sucks. I'm taking dual credit US History and I didn't have to do shit over the summer.

I was gonna be in dual credit but I couldn't pass the writing part of the accuplacer test. I aced everything else on the test though :/

My favorite part of High School is definitely being independent.

I'm in AP world history and we have to read 20-30 pages and take notes every night because we're quizzed the next day.

lol me too but I don't read them I just copy the words on the pages in my textbook hahah. The teacher teaches us what we were suppose to read the night before so the quizzes the next day aren't too hard.

I haven't started college yet but I start on Monday. I would say the best thing is that I only go to class 2 hours a day, 4 times a week.
