I have never smoked and never will smoke weed. What is the point in it.

Why do people play video games?
Why do people drink?
Why do people smoke?

Because they can and because there is a demand for it.

That was intentional my friend. And also, video games etc are legal whereas marijuana isn't.

Marijuana is legal, in many different locations. Right now, recreational marijuana is only legal in Colorado and Washington, but they're going to legalize it in about 10+ other states (if I remember correctly) by 2017.
Medical marijuana is also legal in many states.
There are entire countries that have marijuana legalized.
There are also teenagers who drink, which is underaged drinking, which is illegal. If underaged drinking is illegal, and marijuana is illegal, why does it matter which one you're doing? Marijuana has more positive effects than alcohol anyways, if they're both illegal, why does it matter at that point?

To answer the original question, I smoke because it's fun. I enjoy being high, it has helped me with many things.
I used to be all sad and depressed during summer because of certain shit, I would just be like that for a few days. Didn't have much going on in my life.
I haven't felt like that in months ever since I started smoking. And going to sleep while high is an amazing feeling too. It helps me sleep more naturally than how I usually sleep, and it takes less time for me to fall asleep.
One of my friends didn't eat much and got skinnier over a time period, smoking helped him. He would get hungry while high and he started to eat more. Now he's almost back to a normal weight.
Another example is that I usually used to only hang with people once every week or so during summer. Now I hang out with friends every weekend.
I could go on and on, but I have a pizza to attend to.
 
There is no real point. Some kids do it to be cool. Some kids do it because they think it helps them do things. Some kids do it because they're bored.
 
Its just another way to pass time and enjoy yourself. It really just makes you feel good and relaxed. Its hard to explain, but definitely worth it.

Me personally ... I smoke weed because it calm my nerves it makes me relaxed and funny lol i can play cod amd die 500 times an get 2 kills an not give one fuck lol, mm it smells so good, and looks so sexy.
 
It puts you in a stage where you basically dont give a shit and want to eat/sleep. If your going through shit in your life, this weed is what you need. You'll just have to try it one time to see how you like it.

people who do smoke weed dont care about people who don't smoke weed so idk why you should care about the opposite

I got my friend high for the first time two days ago, she was freaking out, she said she was seeing shit and she never wants to do it. Its not for some people, its for the people that want to try something new, and if they like it they will keep doing it. Percentage shows most people just smoke weed to fit in, to be cool. Thats how I started smoking weed, now I do it to kick it and relax, have good times.
