All of us are just guessing. Modern MMORPG's have only been around for 8-10 years. Yes, some have died but they weren't coded as well or had any following. The time of games dying hasn't been seen in games such as RS. Even if the players feel the game is going downhill doesn't mean it is. An example would be MapleStory. The support the company gives for it(Nexon) sucks and players hate the company. Last year it brought in 1.2 BILLION dollars for Nexon. RuneScape is just moving away from the p2p to p2win format. P2win is a much better money making strategy than p2p. In p2p games you are limited by what you can spend on each account. in P2win there are no limits other than how deep your pockets are.
