"[A]nimal biologists use the term embryo to describe the single cell stage, the two-cell stage, and all subsequent stages up until a time when recognizable humanlike limbs and facial features begin to appear between six to eight weeks after fertilization....
"[A] number of specialists working in the field of human reproduction have suggested that we stop using the word embryo to describe the developing entity that exists for the first two weeks after fertilization. In its place, they proposed the term pre-embryo....
"I'll let you in on a secret. The term pre-embryo has been embraced wholeheartedly by IVF practitioners for reasons that are political, not scientific. The new term is used to provide the illusion that there is something profoundly different between what we nonmedical biologists still call a six-day-old embryo and what we and everyone else call a sixteen-day-old embryo.
"The term pre-embryo is useful in the political arena -- where decisions are made about whether to allow early embryo (now called pre-embryo) experimentation -- as well as in the confines of a doctor's office, where it can be used to allay moral concerns that might be expressed by IVF patients. 'Don't worry,' a doctor might say, 'it's only pre-embryos that we're manipulating or freezing. They won't turn into real human embryos until after we've put them back into your body.'"

Life begins in Gods creation. Before the world was created, there is no things found but it was empty. And when God said, let us make man in our image, there is form of man image and now become the living soul.Life started when God created us in His own image. It is recorded in Genesis 1:26,26.

Life begin when God created this world. Everybody is aware that life is a gift from God so we should take care of it always..
Life has hierarchical evolution from the start. And it has been said that human being was come from the kingdom of the monkey and as the generation goes by it was transformed to a more likely human being which is very similar to the image of our Lord.

Human life begins at the precise moment when the two half-cells,the sperm of the man and the ovum of the women, meet and form the first cell of a unique being who will never be duplicate in the history of the world. The different stages that bring about this extraordinary moment are as follows:

*For the man,the pituitary gland, controlled by the brain, will begin to signal at puberty the command to manufacture 100 million sperm daily.During any act of sexual intercourse, there will be between 200 and 300 million sperm ejaculated into the body of the woman in the vagina, near the cervix.Sperm can enter the uterus if at precise time in the woman's cycle, the cervix is open and secreting a particular liquid, cervical mucus, which enables the sperm to swim to the ovum

*for the woman, during each of her cycles,an ovum (egg) is prepared in the follicle,as commanded by pituitary gland. When the egg is mature, the follicle opens and releases it whereby it moves down the Fallopian Tube towards the uterus. It is in position to unite with the sperm.

*The first instant of life occurs at the union of the egg and the sperm. There is not the least interruption between this moment of conception and what each one of us is today. This is why any harm of an embryo, irregardless of the maturity,is harming a human being. It is immaterial whether the brain is developed or not from the first moments (the first brain cells develop at the fourth week of pregnancy)the tiny being contains all the potential elements for his existence and development. The life of an unique human being has already begun.

This is still a big question which even any scientists couldn't answer so far! We are yet to get the secret how the life was created on this earth! We may get the answer once if we come to know when and how the life originated! Thanks !

no I actually believe life begins at conception. I am prolife. do i believe that a zygote has the potential to live on its own outside of the body of the mother? no...not anymore than I believe that a newborn is ready to live without its mother...

I am only saying that the life ( of DNA,cell tissue, or whatever you wanna call it) is the beginning of something that will be born and live on its own later on. Thus i do believe "life" begins at conception

In my opinion. The moment that the heart starts to beat. Once it's beating, there's life and brainwaves can be detected. Until then, it's just a mass of dividing cells. However, most people don't find out their pregnant until AFTER the heart starts to beat. Abortion (or termination) can only be justified if it's going to kill the mother.

Life begins the moment an egg cell becomes fertilized from it's union with the sperm cell. It is when the development of a child begins and it takes 9 months in the woman's womb before delivering it to the world.

Human life begins during the conception. That is the unification of a sperm cell and an egg cell in the uterus. From that time on, that zygote is considered viable for life here on Earth until it comes out.
