The rumors have been flowing in 2011, unlike last year where the iPhone 4 rumor faucet was brought to a drip, overshadowed by the imminent release of the first iPad. The rumors seemed crazy (or maybe I just didn’t want to believe), as most pointed to no iPhone in June, thanks to WWDC 2011 being “all about the softwareâ€.
Along with the release of the next iPhone, there is an impressive update coming to iOS. The next version, iOS 5, finally brings in the so desperately need notification center. No longer can the hordes of Andriod users make fun of us for [Do-do-do...close], make fun of us for always getting [Do-do-do...close], for always being interrupted! There are lots of other goodies, but notifications was my last big, glaring, missing piece of iOS that’s bugged me ever since I got the iPhone…so now I’m free to look for new things to hate.
