have you compare windows vista and windows seven? what can you say about the two? which is better? which do you think is more accurate and usable?
In comparison to performance well of course that latest OS would sound better due to upgrades.
But for some reasons that is not the only factor that we have to consider, you should also watch out with the specs of your laptop, in which OS it is designed to use to maximize its features...
I mean the hardware peripherals of your device which includes the compatibility of your hardware such as the graphics and audio, modem, wifi and lan.
I believe that there is an available proprietary software for windows 7 that makes the installation a snap, but not all brands and models of laptop were able to jive with that feature, especially for old released laptops....
Windows Vista Ultimate is better than Windows 7 Starter, and of course Windows 7 ultimate is the best when it comes to Multimedia experience, power management, security and encryption features and program compatibility with rich applications that requires higher direct x etc...
Not all Windows 7 is 64 bit default, there are 32 bits as well, and even windows Vista has 64 bit versions... FYI
Better to check your HCL (Hardware Compatibility List) If it can accommodate Windows 7.
Check your hard disk type if it supports hyper threading and if it will not get affected in case you changed or upgraded your OS.
Better to do it safe! so check everything first before you brick your laptop and end up with reformatting again... You can also visit the support website of you laptop to check its compatibility to your prefered os.
Hope it helps!
