I honestly don't see why people star a letter out and then just tell you what the letter is anyway? Microsoft aren't a bunch of retarded monkeys, we all probably guessed what it was anyway.. The whole point of starring a tag out is to stop turboers and decrease the risk of getting it banned.

They star tags out. And still give hints because. If it is starred out they don't have proof of what the account actually is. Microsoft can't just assume that it is something even if the letter is hinted at below. Unless the user actually puts it on the thread the whole gamer tag, They can not ban.

They can, and have banned gamertags that have been starred out. and the proof is right there, saying the starred out letter is ...
