Why are people against scooters?

So I went to a new skatepark today just to check it out.. Everyone there hated me cause I was riding a scooter.. They were bikers they were asking me why I didn't have a bike I was like stfu already bikes aren't as portable.

So what's wrong with riding scooters?

Honestly, I always see kids 13 to 16 at the skatepark on scooters worth more then $300.

And to the comment above^
You'd be surprised what you can do on one.

Nothing is wrong with them, it's ignorant bikers that piss me off, so i went to my skatepark on a day bikers are allowed (forever regret it), and you know how a skater does something good and so you tap your board on the ground, well a douchey biker started slaming his bike on the ground screaming "YEA IS THIS LOUD ENOUGH?!" And he was just being a total tool, but if you look where you're going, and don't snake me, i won't have a problem with you

I guess it was mainly since it was my first time at that park. But yeah they whisper to there gay friends the whole time and barely do anything good themselves.

i ride scooter as well. there hated because there mainly known as a "little kids toy" but there are grown ass men that ride.

i ride because its fun. and cheaper then biking. i fucking love BMX i just dont have the money to get a bike and maintain it.

anyway your always going to get shit for riding scoots. its funny though because scootering and Bmxing are VERY similar. i ride with pride. and dont give a fuck if people like me or not. do the same my friend.
