why do forum kids want to be sad boyz

For some reason, I've noticed that on this forum specifically, some people try way too hard to have an aesthetic, generic, tumblr look.

All I see is kids flexing reflective hoodies, supreme pieces they probably bought with their parents money, filtered pictures of Fiji bottles, and Chinese characters I'm sure none of you know the actual meaning to? Not to mention some of the pictures aren't even their own, just recycled pictures.

Am I missing something? Would really like to understand where this came from.

My best guess, they ride the newest trends to fit in. Society maybe? Idk. I do like a couple of yung leans songs tho. He sets trends all the way from Switzerland lmao

This thread is asking a question, so here's the answer.

Every time a new member joins they try to fit in. So they search on Google: "Nike Tumblr", "Girl with Supreme", etc.

They want to seem cool, so they have their pictures as something that is visually pretty appealing to the demographic who browses this site. Little to they know that the photos that they use had been used by 20 members before them

Basically what I'm trying to get at is, this whole thing you're talking about is just a "new kid" thing. I mean just look at every random who gets their first OG Instagram handle. They make a "feed" of a bunch of fashion/bape/supreme/guns/nike bullshit that I have seen on 100+ tumblr and IG pages before it.
