Why do people not trust unupgraded members?

Just a little question I had in mind. Why do people not trust unupgraded members? I am not pin pointing this site out, just every site really. This is how it goes. Many new members get taken advantage of and it is kind of sad. They get scammed all the time and no one will believe them. They usually want to deal on some kind of off-site messenger because they are new to forums and they don't know how to get around. I always am willing to deal with new members, and accept paypal with them. I don't see a problem with trusting another human being just because they are new. @Shaine and @Pandas for example are trusted, not upgraded though. I always do the background check though, look up their username, see if they actually own what they are selling, or have the funds. I do that with everyone though.
I was just wondering this because it is hard for new members to start on forums nowadays.

My first ever trade I got scammed for a nice 27k Instagram :c and it was offsite on kik..The kid didn't get banned considering I couldn't give a scam report at the time seeing as I didn't know how to, I lost my kik and I lost my money, he got to keep both instagrams he offered me..It was an upsetting day for me really, BUT in the end of it, He got an old kik worth i'd say $2 and he kept my $8 so lets say he made about $10-$14 profit on nothing, Not bothered, but I now know not to deal offsite..Thanks for pointing this thread, Because I've seen alot of untrusted new members..Thanks once again bud.

I'm actually now upgraded, due to an awesome giveaway. but if it weren't for you, i'd probably still be at like 30 posts,

As for the post: i think it's because some people see them as easy targets, with most newer people not knowing how to:
Find a good mm
Report a scam
Check a persons rep

It's messed up, but thats just how it is.

Thanks for listening to my rant.

Simple answer is because they've nothing to lose.

Take me for example, why would I scam when I've donated a hell of a lot to the site and upgraded over 50 members myself. Gained the trust of nearly everybody and made so many friends.

New people couldn't give a fuck since they have nothing to lose and are poor assholes, unlike me :p

I agree with @chill . If they get banned for scamming who cares, it's just $20 and a ban on a website that they dont care about.

I only trust a rare few here.

New members can take advantage because they've simply nothing to lose, right? Upgraded members scam as well as non upgraded members, it's all very biased.

Generally speaking, they have much less to lose. For example, someone who paid $20 for an upgrade would be stupid to scam $5. It's not in non-upgraded members who this affects, it's NEW members. I'd feel a bit more comfortable dealing with someone with 2 years spent on this forum, regularly visiting, building friendships and trust through deals, with months of online time, than someone who just searched originalgamertags.com signed up 15 minutes ago and decided they'd get into the market. Use your head here, bud. The answer is quite simple.

I am talking about people that seem trustworthy but you won't trust them because they are new.

The fact they aren't upgraded gives me an impression that they are not going to be committed to the site, and they are bound too scam. What I say is don't deal until upgraded, earn some rep before hand..

Sometimes, (like, in my case) people are just poor af, but are commited to the site. and are not bound to scam, but can never make any money, because Noone will deal with them/

They are generally perceived as untrustworthy considering they haven't contributed anything to the site.

I don't necessarily choose not to deal with unupgraded members, but I do try to use extra precaution. They don't exactly have anything to lose, which is why I choose to be careful.

When un-upgraded you have nothing to lose , you have no money invested in the site as for if you have power+ you've prob invested over 60+ dollars on your account so for you to scam someone for something worth 20 dollars you'd just waste money
