Why is it so difficult for kids to pay attention in class?

I am always called "quiet" in school because I Payattention and don't get in all the conversations that end up in a detention.


It is really difficult to pay attention to learn what you are doing?

For example I am in Algebra 1 and we are doing basic equations.

It should take no more than one class to learn how to do a basic multi-step equation... we have been on them for one month!

7+3(4X+1)=22
X=1

Peopel were getting all different numbers... How the F$#^ do you get 104?

Well that was obvious its 1 and i have no problem with paying attention.
But some peoples just got bored at some subjects and talk to each others and don't pay attention.

It depends of "children" 's age and their maturity. If someone is mature enough, he'll realize that even if he doesn't like it, he'll have to pay attention, because he needs it for his future. He'll also know that we'll be available to do other things on free times.

And other people like to move on and not do repetitive tasks all day!

Agreed, I bet you wouldn't like it if you had to be shown all day how to trisect angles..

I definitely agree with Pedro.
I pay attention at class, but dumb people call me a nerd?
They just don't know their future.

I'm quiet at class, but I don't pay attention to teacher. xD
Mostly im really tired and just try to sleep.

X=1
Of course...

it is 7+ 3*4X+3*1=22
7+12X+3=22
12X+10=22
12X=12
X=12/12=1

Young minds can get drifted frequently. It's the age to have fun. I payed attention in school but there were moments when I was just not ready to accept anything and did what I wanted in class. I was a bit mischievous in class

It really depends on your interest on the topic you are being taught. I have a tendency to become distracted if I am bored, have a bad teacher, etc. If that lesson was interesting, I pay attention and don't mess about.

I cant pay attention some class also but if its History then I am all ear i like history more the Algebra nad any other stuff.
