The fact of the matter is, Rune Gear may not be the most active community of RuneScape discussion, but we do have a lot of traffic. We may not have 20,000 members, but our traffic matches and surpasses websites with almost 4x our members, and our activity is 4x theirs even though their member base may be larger than ours.
Rune Gear is so rich with content that Google absolutely loves us. We place first page for numerous search terms, yet we're not even a year old. Our traffic is massive. We receive almost 2,000 unique page views on a daily basis. A month ago, I gave myself a goal. Get Rune Gear to 2,000 unique views on a daily (constant) basis by December 31st, 2011. It seems that this goal is closer in our reach. We are at the rate of almost 1,500-1,600+ on a slow day. That's how large our traffic is, for such a young website, we have a magnificent future ahead of us.
The fact that such a small close community grew at such an oustanding rate still baffles my mind till this day. Such a competitive niche to enter, and yet, look at us. One of the fastest growing RuneScape communities out there. I feel proud to say that we definitely live up to our motto.
I'd like to congratulate the users on such a great activity rate, and hope to see myself in a years time still serving you and the community. Heck, I want to see myself in 5 years time and still serving this community. You're all doing a fantastic job, and I commend you for it. We are a tight bunch, even though we're a growing community.
One way for us to grow is through telling your friends, and telling people about us. If everyone was to tell one friend (every active member), we'd have 1,000 new members. This continues. If you tell 1,000, they'll tell 1,000, those 1,000 will tell another 1,000, and it grows.
