I had a dream last night which was pretty weird.
I went for a walk around my area and remembered I'd left my front door unlocked, when I returned home I noticed the door was slightly open, when I went inside the TV was missing.
I made my way upstairs to see if anything else was stolen and could hear someone up there, when I went more upstairs to try and see who it was my vision was blurring and I could hardly walk, all I heard was a guy saying "Sorry, I've just gotta take your stuff."
After he'd left and my vision was back to normal I noticed he took my PC so I made my way back downstairs, then I realised there was a half-life type gun in my hand and I was playing a game in my house and was lagging.
So I brought up the xfire ingame messenger which appeared out of nowhere and started talking to a friend about what happened. I then noticed the man who stole my stuff was also in the chat room, so I flamed him and told him I was lagging because he stole my pc.
The next thing I remember is waking up. After waking up, I was thankful it was a dream and got up to check on my PC -- but it was gone. So I made my way downstairs and saw that the TV was also gone. At this point I felt quite depressed and confused, then I began to wonder if I was actually awake or if I still dreaming.
I pinched my arm to make sure it was a dream and was relieved to notice my arm was numb and I felt no pain, then I felt a drifting motion and woke up in my actual bed, checked on my PC and it was there.
I usually have pretty vivid dreams, but I've never really been able to control my actions as much as I did when I woke up inside the dream. The dream-inside-of-a-dream thing felt really Inception-like.
At least pinching yourself to see if you're still dreaming actually works.
