So I just installed Windows Live Essentials 2011, and I'm actually quite impressed. Windows Live Messenger has been improved, you can now access your social networking within WLM (Windows Live Messenger). I was on my PC, signed into WLM and then I got a message from a friend, wondering how he found out my email address, when I opened the MSN chat, I noticed it was from Facebook, which I very much like. I can be on WLM and have all my social networking sites within it, very much like that.

Windows Live Mail has been improved a lot too, It's still basic, but it can do a lot more of your tasks with ease.

Here's a screenshot of it:

Anyway, I overall love the new efforts, what's your opinion?

You can change the view of it on the top right in WLM.

Nothing too impressive, they've basically copied what digsby does, but slightly worse.

I personally love it compared to previous versions and think they are doing a good job on developing their software.

Im using this currently its very well done you just need to make sure you dont get any viruses and they target these first.

I really don't like it, way confusing and with much more waste although it has improved slightly

I like the new MSN. There are some bad points though. If you want to change your nick, you'll need to change it from your Hotmail profile. The new smiles are also fun.

I too find that annoying, I don't change my nickname much anyway though.

Anything made by Microsoft in computing software sucks, excluding the Xbox Firmware.
