I'm not sure if this is the right section but I have decided to post it here since it deals with gamertag sales.

There has been an update where you have to have a gamertag on your console for 30 days until you can change the Windows Live ID on the account. So you can't wait 30 days, recover the gamertag and expect to instantly change it. Just a heads up.
 

wow, i knew you had to wait 30 days but never knew you had to recover it. when did the come up with this?
 
Great it looks like there is going to be alot more scams occurring... :/
 
This happened a few months ago, it is for gamertag security. Overall its a good idea just harder to make gamertags save now.
 
Its actually 30 days for any changes on your WLID, So essentially you cannot touch anything for 30 days

Before you had to wait 30 days total. Now you have to wait 30 days after you recover the gamertag.
 
yea i know i hate it when i need to change the email and it shows up
