Who do you think the world's most powerful people are?

Forbes has created a list of the top 10 most powerful people, but I want to know if you guys agree with it or not.

Here is the top 10 list:

1. Barrack Obama - President of the United States of America
2. Angela Merkel - Chancellor of Germany
3. Vladimir Putin - President of Russia
4. Bill Gates - Cochair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
5. Pope Benedict XVI - Pope of the Roman Catholic Church
6. Ben Bernanke - Chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve
7. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al Saud - King of Saudi Arabia
8. Mario Draghi - President of the European Central Bank
9. Xi Jinping - General Secretary of the Communist Party of China
10. David Cameron - Prime Minister of the United Kingdom

Is that descending in order of power or is it just a list? I agree with the people, not the order.

Personally i would put china & saudi further up the top.

I misread the title, I thought it said "World's Most Beautiful" and I say Barack Obama and I wss like "he's not beautiful".
And seems like Bill Gates is more powerful than the presidents of some countries.

im not getting too in to this, and i mean no offense with my response, but, Germany would have won if the UK wasn't involved. the US were too busy nuking people and had japanese pilots destroying their ships. the only useful Canadians where the newfoundlanders which are a small minority of the effort. the french sat there and watched their country getting destroyed, the majority of italians were in concentration camps blah blah blah..

also, the UK was the only one with a focus of army recruitment, none of the other countries were as proactive with creating propaganda to make boys want to join ect.

the UK won that war, i agree they won it with the help of (im pretty sure) under 200 countries, but, like i said without the UK that war would have been lost.

Hmm, I sort of think the UK would have been forced out of the war if the US didn't get involved. Also, the Soviet Union played a big part in defeating Germany as well.

The UK was basically bankrupt by 1941 and was kept in the fight by American money.

the US did have more power than the UK during the revolutionary war.
Which is why i said, it doesn't show the power of them now so its not so relevant.

Actually, I wouldn't say we had more power than you during the revolutionary war.

The revolutionary war was won because some British commanders were stupid.

You obviously don't know very much about the war...

The US bombed the Japanese with nukes in August 1945. The war in Europe ended in May 1945. The UK would of lost the war by a landslide if the Americans hadn't joined the war. The Russians were extremely helpful as Stalin didn't give a fuck about his soldiers lives and would send them on suicide missions on a regular basis. The UK was fucked without Russia and America.

America had way less power during the Revolutionary war.


I would even say the UK has almost no power nowadays. When the British invaded the Suez Canal in October 1956 it took one phone call from the President of the US to the Prime Minister of England for them to decide to withdraw. No massive military movements will happen in the Western World without the US's consent and support.

Germany has the ONLY stable economy in Europe currently.

oh and that stable economy of germany, that is due to (primarily) the UK having to pay them loads of money after the war because their country & economy was fucked and due to their army being restricted they invested heavily in the motor trade, hence the "stable" economy that they have today.

UK would have a perfectly stable economy if we didnt let ourselves get walked all over in fear of offending people eg. britain joining the european union.

Either I didn't read what you said correctly or you know nothing about the EU. Great Britain is not a full member of the EU. Neither England, Scotland, nor Wales are a full member of the EU. Their economy was not dragged down by the Euro as they still use the pound. They were dragged down for completely different reasons. You know absolutely nothing of why the economy in Europe and the rest of the world is shit currently. Germany is NOT stable because everyone paid them money for defeating them in WW2. It is not textbook propaganda that America has massive power over the rest of the world. There isn't a single country in Europe that could fight another war on the same scale as WW2 and expect to win without America helping them. They wouldn't even declare war without America saying they would help beforehand. There isn't a single other country on Earth that could support millions of troops on the field with food, supplies, and care other than America. No one can afford it nor do they have the capability. America has been able to feed 1 million meals per day overseas in the Middle East for the 11 years nonstop. Please name another country that could do that in this day and age.

Also.

Germany is the number 1 economy in Europe.

If Europe was a state it would make the fat mugs of America look like Wales on steroids.
