Yeah... UK and 200 other countries......
im not getting too in to this, and i mean no offense with my response, but, Germany would have won if the UK wasn't involved. the US were too busy nuking people and had japanese pilots destroying their ships. the only useful Canadians where the newfoundlanders which are a small minority of the effort. the french sat there and watched their country getting destroyed, the majority of italians were in concentration camps blah blah blah..
also, the UK was the only one with a focus of army recruitment, none of the other countries were as proactive with creating propaganda to make boys want to join ect.
the UK won that war, i agree they won it with the help of (im pretty sure) under 200 countries, but, like i said without the UK that war would have been lost.
You obviously don't know very much about the war...
The US bombed the Japanese with nukes in August 1945. The war in Europe ended in May 1945. The UK would of lost the war by a landslide if the Americans hadn't joined the war. The Russians were extremely helpful as Stalin didn't give a f*ck about his soldiers lives and would send them on suicide missions on a regular basis. The UK was fucked without Russia and America.

That is like saying the US has more power than the UK simply because we beat you in the revolutionary war. Lol
the US did have more power than the UK during the revolutionary war.
Which is why i said, it doesn't show the power of them now so its not so relevant.
Would have said exactly this if he didn't already, think some of you need to research..
Both World Wars are something that I really enjoy reading about and watching documentaries. There are a few points that you need to be aware of before making such a statement.
Firstly the German invasion plans for the United Kingdom relied on the Royal Navy being either wiped out or limited enough for the landing ships and supplies to make it on to our "ISLAND". They also relied on the Royal Air Force being wiped out. They could not achieve either of these factors most of their Navy except for the subs hid in ports for 90% of the war due to the fact that the Royal Navy was the World's most powerful Navy pre World War 2.
Please have a read of this it's really interesting:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Sea_Lion#Chances_of_success the wiki goes into detail about all of Germany's plan to invade the United Kingdom.
American supplied the United Kingdom with resources throughout the war by sending cargo ships in convoys across the Atlantic Ocean, without this the United Kingdom would of struggled badly.
With regards to the Atom Bomb invention, this is from wiki answers:
The atomic bomb was first developed by a team of scientists in the United States under the direction of Robert Oppenheimer in a project called the Manhattan project (named after the location where much of the work took place). The project was aided by Great Britain and Canada and took 6 years from inception in 1939 (initiated by a letter from Albert Einstein to President Roosevelt warning of German research in nuclear fission), and culminating in the first successful detonation of an atomic device in New Mexico in 1945.
It should be noted, however, that the British did, in fact, first discover the properties of nuclear fission in Uranium235 in 1939, on which the first atomic bomb was based.
So it's not just the case that the USA invented this on their own. They were in something called the "ALLIES" hope you can see the plural there.
I could go on for longer but that's the facts there, I don't think I need to say any more.
EDIT: One thing the United Kingdom lacked compared to all of the other super powers was men on the ground. Our power was projected with our Navy. (That's how we built our Empire.)
