Recent activity has shown that those stupid pesky bastards are recirculating the Nigerian 419 Scam. Many people are starting to get these fraudulent emails during transaction and it's really quite stupid. They are full of holes and errors, let alone the fact that the scam has been old news for some time and most "advanced" users can sniff it out at first glance. I would suggest anyone without knowledge in such field to tighten up that loose brain and get proactive, these scams can and will ruin your life. Please don't be stupid enough to fall for them. Please note this is a transaction scam, this is sent to you during deals made online. Not sent through spam.
Used to get these emails. As far as I know you can put filters on in Yahoo and Gmail, but I don't know about Hotmail, that you can filter and block those email addresses. Or you can have a parid spam filter, like one that comes with Trend Micro.
It's a transaction scam, they "pay" you. You then get a fake email posing as ebay or PP telling you to ship the package so your money goes through. Basically your money is "withheld" until a tracking number is sent to the "ebay team". It's really some fag making a horrible scam page, so watch for this on any deals you make. But like I said, its for the stupid.
Yes, image you are doing a deal with me. You tell me to send you 400$, I say "sent" and you check your email. It then pops up this saying send the package and the tracking number will be released, it is withheld for scamming purposes. When in fact, I am scamming you. Works well on new buyers/sellers.
Read my LAST POST, this is all done in an exchange. NO SPAM.
I "give" you 400$, you receive an email within seconds saying I sent it but you need to ship the package before its released to you for security purposes. You send it then you are scammed.
