eating dogs is nothing compared to cannibalism which is actually

I grew up on a farm - we had pet's that we raised on bottles that went in our freezer and onto the table (goats-calves-sheep-rabbits-chickens) as a normal occurrence.
If you look at the number of animals in shelters and destroyed in the US on a daily basis plus the amount of money donated to keep them alive- verses the number of people that are standing in line at the food banks/soup kitchens . . . . . really makes you think.
Then again you can't eat horse in the US either - lol
It just seems that certain animals are considered non-food in some cultures. If things ever get really bad - I wonder if that will change?
