Actually, I am going to turn this into a AMA (Ask Me Anything).
But here is my opinion on the new staff:
Ok, First I want to talk about one of the most recent issues which is this whole staff ordeal. Unfortunately, a lot of staff members have been stepping down (More in the last 6 months than the first 6 months). We can't force them to stay here. So for quite a bit, we have been down to 2 staff members, which IMO worked really well with the whole staff to activity ratio. But don't think staff are the only ones that moderate, both me and the owners do our share of making sure RG doesn't burn. We are actually really lucky; everyone on the team is actually really active and is able to dedicate a lot of their time to RG. I actually felt like we were in a really good spot, but my feelings aren't the same as everyone else. TE feels that we should have more staff, no idea why. This is another issue on top of this. The Elite doesn't have great communication. No Skype, No MSN, Nothing. He solely relies on RG's PM system for contact, which honestly, he doesn't reply to everyone. Let me put it this way, I was suppose to have AdminCP in January and I still don't have it (My OWN login). Multiple times I have PM'd him about it, but somehow seems to be ignored. So the communication between the team is lacking. Well, actually me and Mike talk quite a bit about stuff. But yeah, getting back about the staff. The Elite doesn't ask anyone for input about who should be staff, only Mike, which eventually gets relayed to me, but I doubt TE specifically tells him. But it wasn't always this way, it used to be that ALL staff would nominate someone, not just management. That's how I got into the team, nominated. Anyways, Mike actually messages me on the 28th, which was Saturday, and we talked a bit about getting new staff. He tells me TE thinks it should be George and bcg. Mike nor me even knew who bcg was. We thought George was a good pick, but IMO I thought we only needed one more. Due to time zones, I felt that we needed someone else in eastern time zone. Before the new staff, we had 2 in the UK, 1 in eastern time zone, 1 a couple hours behind eastern, and 1 in Australia. Getting back to bcg, neither of us knew who he was. So me and Mike were going to keep a watch on people who think should become staff. Unfortunately, I had a busy week so I wasn't on that much. But I guess within that week bcg posts like 15 times and turns Mike's opinion to thinking bcg is super HQ and should be staff. I looked through bcg's posts; he would have been a good candidate, but he was just too new. I felt someone who knew the way RG rolled would be a good staff member. But unfortunately, there isn't much HQ people who have stuck around. I will admit, the quality and members of this forum has been going down. But yeah, I doubt any of my opinion's got to TE since the communication just isn't there. Oh and also, it does seem really fishy to see bcg donated 50M to host a contest then 2 hours later get promoted. I am pretty sure everyone can see what happened there. Idk, but we don't really pick staff based on our relationship with the person, well it does take some part. Trust me, if we picked members who were friends, Ninja would be staff right now. But I guess ADW was Mike's friend so I guess he got it because of it. I don't know what else to say really. These 2 staff were rushed to be picked, IMO.
