Since this forum seems to be doing very well, I would like to make my first contribution.

I'm holding a contest for 50 Million RSGP.

This contest will most likely end in one week, barring a lack of contestants.

All you have to do is make a High-Quality post telling a story about when you were a "Noob" on RuneScape.

I will then select three finalists, who will be voted upon.

When I was a noob in RuneScape, I got scammed by the Armor Trimming Scam, and the rare Spinac Roll scam in the same day. They got me for full rune and 1m for the Spin Roll. Then about a month later I got hit with the Jagex made it so others cant see your pass in regular chat scam.

When I was a noob...the good ole days. When I was a noob in Runescape, everything was so simple and fun. You could run around the world not knowing where you were going or what was next, and that was the exciting part. My first Runescape account, I got to a level 56, which at that time, thought was amazing, and had finally earned up to 1M RSGP. I had bought membership, and was having a good time experiencing the membership perks, and trying to level up all the new stats. Eventually, I went into the wilderness and starting to PK, not knowing what I was doing, and got killed wearing full rune. I thought that I had lost it all, and got very sad. When I respawned, I noticed some guy doing a doubling money glitch, and I said hey, why not? I went to him, and trading him all I had on that account. He then signed off and I never saw the money again. I got depressed and logged of and forgot about that account for years. I logged back on it, and started playing again. It feels good to be back on my first account. Well I hope you like my story, and it was 100% true. Good luck to everyone else, and thanks Ron Paul for donating this the the RR members.

This is a true story.

Back in my noob days having full rune meant you were a very dedicated and rich Runescape player. H'ween masks were around 50m too. Seeing the veteran players with their saradomin armour and santa hats inspired me to start leveling up my skills to make enough money to be one of those "cool" kids. Being the lazy me I gave up on myself. I knew i would never be able to make that much money in my whole Runescape life. I started getting desperate and started searching for free gold. One day i stumbled upon a gold site! I got even more desperate and begged my parents daily to let me spend $13 online. They finally gave in to my pleading. I bought 5m RSGP for $13 would you believe that?!?! What an amazing price! I logged in on Runescape to get my gold while holding a big smirk on my face. When I got it I immediately went to the West Bank and spent it all. Feeling awesome i logged off for the day. Next morning was the weekend and I planned to spend all day on Runescape. When I was a noob, The Old Days, back in the day, I use to kill cows and pick up hide.Then I would go to world 2, And then sell them for 1gp extra. Made about 10k extra a Day, This was before g.e , and the free trade removal. Then one day, I was fucked over after picking up 1k hide and lost almost 2m, and i cried for hours.

Ha being a noob on runescape... back in 03-04 when i first played, didn't know anything about the game. I've made my first about 50-100k mining essence in varrock probs one of the happiest kids in Vancouver that day when i got my first pk =] killed a guy with iron scimmy and strength amulet, i was just loving it.

I remember when I was a noob, I just got my first 10,000 gold. The first thing I wanted to buy was a Rune Longsword. When I finally found someone who was selling them for around 8,000 gold each I bought one. Then was going around bragging about it being a noob. I finally made my way over to the mage shop where my friend told me to follow him, we went over to the entrance of Varrock from Lumbridge over by the Mages Circle. He asked to borrow it, and I was not very smart back then and I let him borrow it... He logged off.

~Life Of A Runescape Noob~

Once upon a time, six years in the past, my cousin introduced me to a game called "Runescape" I played it and though this was the best game in the world. I played this game non-stop as much as I possibly could. I still remember when seeing people walking around asking for free stuff, due to there being free trade and no grand exchange. I remember absolutely fearing going into the wilderness, wearing the only armor I had, (blue wizard top, iron plate legs, mithril battleaxe, and a bronze medium helmet.) Running up the eastern side of Varrock, past the museum and the church, seeing the ditch, and on the other side of that ditch..hundreds beyond hundreds of blood thirsty players waiting to destroy anyone that would come in to their level range.

I run through as fast I can, but it's no use. Almost instantaneously I get sniped with an arrow, and loose my stuff. I spend the next few weeks making as much money as I can. I look on YouTube trying to find Runescape gold hacks and item spawners, (not realizing they were RAT's and keyloggers at that time). I remember trying to find gold guides on Google, I finally came across one that I thought might work, and it did, I made my first 100k off of mining clay, then bought cow hides and tanned them for my very first, hard earned 1M.

And what does any noob of my expertise do with a whopping 1M in there bank, well, they go and spend it all on every rune item in the game, that's that they do. So yes I wasted my very first 1M and was once again broke. After this very disappointing experience I learned of bots, and well I think you see where this is going, I botted non-stop and made more money then I've ever had before. All things must come to an end right? I got banned using RSbot, and quit the game, as it was my only account.

I now own several accounts at no longer rage quit at being banned ;D. I hope you liked my life as a Runescape noob story. Enjoy

I remember begging runescape in fourth grade. My friend Richard showed me and I thought it was the coolest thing. I remember working my way up killing cows until I had around a mill or so. Now at the time I had NO IDEA what a pure/main ect. was (This was approx 2004), so I just trained basically all my stats. Eventually, having decent stats the wilderness came naturally to me.:heart:

So I began pking and loved it, because I won a lot of fights. I was never a member either because my parents thought it was ridiculous to pay monthly fees for an online game. So were talking some hardcore range/2h pking in Edge back in the day. I particullarly remembering killing some one at the castle north of edge and getting a ridiculous loot, a full inventory of tons of runes, money ect.

I later became more interested in money because I had accumulated a decent amount from pking (about 10m..was a lot for f2p then). I got into merchanting and my main item was rune scims and full rune. I actually made a KILLING in profit. I had enough to buy a green haloween mask (near 20mish at the time). At this point, I finally got membership, and continued to pk to maxed stats.

Back when I first started Runescape, I had no idea what to do. I heard a few people talk about it on xbox live (2004) and decided to go for it. I remember, as soon as I signed up from the first page I forgot my password. I was like... Seriously? After I finally got into my account I was pretty excited. I never really played any computer games apart from watching my friends Dad play Anarchy-Online. Runescape's graphics back then where just what I was looking for. However the tutoiral island was a pain in the arse. I couldn't quite "hack" it. It took me 10 minutes to find out how to open the door. I kept talking to the guy over and over. I kept going back to xbox live party chat (back then, you had to stay on the dash board to have a party chat with people, yeah, that's right..) and asking them what the hell do I do now?
After a while of playing and finally getting off the stupid island. I begged my mother for membership so I could see what this guy in Varrock was selling ( I remember I was level 10 ). She agreed after several hours of moaning and crying but hey, a kid's gotta do what a kid's gotta do. That's where I bought my eye-patch I had that on for levels to come.
Friends on that game came and went but the first person I met was called Andy... I can't remember anything else, but he was my first hack. His username had a 69 on the end, I put his username and his username without the 69 in the password box and it logged me in. HELL YEAH! I started to get this wierd fix and I drop traded everything to my account. He had rune chain, dragon longsword, dragon dagger. I sold all of those to the general store to make a nice hefty profit of about 20,000 GP. Back then, to me, 20,000 was a lot and that managed to get me my armour from steel up to addy.

That's when I played that game for fun.

I first started playing runescape when I was in 6th grade. It was cool to do it at the time, because I had friends that played it. I had a nice lvl 3, but I thought I was like level 27, because it said so on the skills tab, so I felt pretty cool! Lol, so I had a lvl 3 the whole time, and like 3000, and I was happy with that, mostly because I thought it was a lot... But then I quit for about a two years after my friends stop playing. Then I read things on the internet about it, and was like, "OH WAIT I have an acc!" So i went back in... but I had forgotten my password. And my acc name was, "16592991" because that was supposed to be my password, but instead my pass was what I wanted my username to be. When my friends asked my why it was that, I lied and told them some fake story so they didn't know I mixed them up. I was 11. Lol, so yeah I had to make a new acc, and I lvl'ed up everything legit, until I found what bots where, but by then I had a cb level of 65, so I botted wood cutting. But I was still a noon at botting and I didn't know the consequences. So I got banned the first time, and I was membs so I was heart-broken because it took away 1 week of membs Then I was like, "WELL maybe flaxing is better!" (i was using epicbot) A day later i get banned again, for a month, so yeah, my membs is gone after it's appealed.After that they took my wc lvl from 95 to 85, and they removed 5k black d hides I had and all my money, so I decided I couldn't keep playing. So i quit. 3 months later, RS is brought back to HF, and that's where I start again. But I'm having to start from nothing, because I have nothing. I had to sell so many items to clear up my bank, and my membs items are still there, so all I have is like little random free items, and i don't bot anymore because if I do, and get banned, it will be a perma-ban.

Okay this is 100% true. I made a new account, walked around, killed some goblins and stuff. Tried to get some money, but I only had made about 500gp (I thought it was a TON). I was such a noob, I asked my MOM to make an account and do the basic things to get some money. I mostly wanted the 25gp starting money xD She went upstairs to her computer and traded me her bread and wooden armor and 25gp :b

Keep in mind I'm 14 now, this was about 6 years ago when I was about 8 xD

When i was noob i bought 1m gp for real money and bought a granite maul for all of the money - Just because i thought that it was so cool to have a special attack, and have never had a spec before

Time I started RS.. Ah, good 317 So, my story is from Tutorial Island.. It took about 6 hours for me to complete it. I was like 8 or so then and I didn't understand English at all. I remember that hardest point was when I had to 'Examine' Rock and then mine it. I didn't know what I had to do, I was kinda mad. Then after 5 and half hours (approx.) I asked my mom to help me. Well, he didn't understand all Runescape terms, but he managed to tell me what I should do. Then I was happy AND w00t I managed to complete the Island. Then I also remember what always when I was going to Al-Kharid, I killed like 5 goblins to get that 10gp you need to go through that gate.

Hmm... what else..?

Oh, my friend told me that Member gates would open in five days, I believed and waited. Nothing happened. I asked him did he lie, but he said they will open in five weeks and yet again, nothing obviously happened. Then I asked again and he said they open in five months.. And I was stupid and I believed him. Nothing happened.

Then, when I was like lvl 30 and had insane 100k bank I got hacked and was about to quit playing RS, but i didn't.

So here I am now writing this story and hoping I will get 50m.

E: Yeah remember another. It's about my accounts username. It's 'Suomi105'. And Suomi means Finland which is where I live. When I was asked to put my username desired, I thought it meant I had to input my country. I even wrote it in my native language... Damn I was stupid then.
