This is a true story:
I remember those days, those days when I used to beg my friend to log onto runescape so that we could go to karamja and make money by picking bananas. The first time we tried to go to karamja, we ended up near the monks (zammy wine area). And after struggling, we finally reached the boat that goes to Karamja. But guess what? We did not know we had to pay to go to karamja. My friend, being stupid as he is, walked all the way back to lumbringe to get coins, while I kill the goblins near the ship to collect coins. Once we reached Karamja, my friend would keep killing the man near the harbor and pick up his bones. He said that bones can be sold to others for money and that it was a better money making technique than picking bananas. So I joined him. After killing the man 28 times, we ran into a problem, we couldn't find a bank. That is when I came up with a brilliant idea. I told my friend that we should bury the bones in a place we would remember and come back later with a shovel to dig them back up. This did not turn out very well. So we went on to the next brilliant idea I came up with; walking around runescape picking any coins I find.

When I first registered for runescape under the username "wileomes" thinking thats how you spelt "Williams" which is my middle name I was a huge noob. I remember the old tutorial when I registered in '07 which was just amazing, cutting tree's, killing rats until lv3 in every skill in the tutorial.
After getting out of the tutorial, I killed cows, chickens and asked people for money. To the right of the sheep farm in lumbridge a guy gave me 1000gp(1k). I thought I was rich and ran to the general store and went on what I called was a "spending spree". I bought pots, newcomer map, chefs hat and all that good stuff.
Eventually I would get up an hour before school and try to level up my different skills to wear black armor which I thought was rare.
Thats the sum of it. I still have the account which to this day, I've still never botted on it; but I don't play on it anymore either.

Well, here's my story back from around 2004 ^^,
Soo, after getting a friend of mine to create my account and finish Tutorial island for me, all I did was mine. Started at clay, then Copper and Tin, then Iron. I may have earned about.. 20k from this? This is GREAT I thought. Then I heard of this mystical place called the Rune Essence Mine. I spent maybe an hour doing the quest, and then mined Rune essence. I thought I was on top of the world, what with my new found Adamant pickaxe and all. Buuuuut then it started to get a little boring.
So my friend, who was also playing at the time, made a new account and tried to con people out of their accounts. This new found account, 'Present Man123,' would go up to all these people and would say "Why hello there 'Username,' you've earned a present! Would you like a D'hide Body? You do?? Well then, give me your password and it will appear in your inventory right away!"
We some how managed to get an account that was about lvl 54 and had a few rune items. That was amazing at the time xD
He managed to recover it though, and I don't know how, but I managed to recover it back
So, here I am on my new account, thinking of what to do. After weeks of wandering, I began to cut trees. Many trees. I stood chopping the oak tree in Draynor Village for so long, my axe head flew away. It happened right under my eyes. It was a very strange sight, and I was worrying why my tree cutting abilities were failing me. I looked at my axe, and it dawned on me that I couldn't cut a tree with a piece of wood. I found the axe head, fixed up my axe, and began chopping right away! The second time I wasn't so lucky. My axe head flew off again when I wasn't looking. By the time I realised, some evil player came along and took it from the ground! Now I had to use my precious oaks to buy a new one, and rune axes weren't cheap in those days.
After those long hard hours slaving away at that infamous Oak tree, I finally had my first 200k. Wow! I could finally buy my first ever Rune set!! So I did, along with a few lobsters aswell. Where did I go? That's right. I went into the wilderness with my trusty Lobsters and funky blue armour cause hey, I was feeling like I could kill anything.
I eventually teamed up with these two guys, and we ended up in level 40 odd wilderness with the Greater Lesser Demons. I was a little worried that I couldn't tele away if something happened, but hey, the main guy seemed trusty enough with his Adamant armour and Strength Amulet. The two of them ended up fighting more then once, and I tried to be the middleman and calm the situation down. For all I know, that could have just been an act to gain my trust.
The last thing I remember that day was running as fast as my little legs could carry me back to the border of the Wilderness, as this little man cladded in green armour had decided to attack me! Only 8 levels of wilderness to go until safety! I kept running. You know what? I'll be fine. I've got my trusty rune armour, and plenty of Lobsters. Even if I run out of energy, this guy won't be able to kill me! Level 7, level 6, level... Wait.. NOO! MY MOUSE BATTERIES!?! My little legs had stopped running, and I stood there fighting the man in green. I ran frantically over the house in search of more of these power supplying cylinders, but my luck had run out. I sat back at my computer desk, staring in horror at this cluster of animated pixels. "GF Rune armour" was the last thing I saw. I was absolutely guttered. I dreamt about that night for days to come. I didn't touch Runescape for ages after that. Or maybe I did to resume my tree cutting abilities, I can't remember. It was too long ago ^_^

Oh and I forgot to add one other part to my story :b I used to stand at the Al-Kahrid Silk person for HOURS, buting the 2gp silk and selling it in Varrock for 5gp I believe >.> I was even at my grandmas house once (again I was like 8) and I was so determined to make money and was rapidly clicking, I had to go to the bathroom so I told my grandma what to do and made her do it xD

2 quick stories,
First:
When i was a noob ( Age 7/8) I didn't know what ess was, nor did i get what bank notes were and i confused them and thought ess was bank notes so i use to pickup bank notes and try to sell to people upstairs in varrock east bank
When i was 11 i was really desperate and i'd go on omegle wearing my sisters bra and not showing my head and i'd tell people i'd flash them for their runescape accounts never really worked

First post on this forum, first, i hope this doesn't affect my eligibility for this contest but what the heck might aswell tell my story anyways and get it out there,
So, When I was a noob on RuneScape.. now that had to of been about seven years ago I found out about RuneScape through my brother so i had people givingme things i thought were epic as i couldn't use them yet (e.g. mithril axe, steel Armour, etc..) and i was overwhelmed by all the places you could go i had no understanding of the economy at all i believe the max cash stack i had ever ha don my first account was 46k honestly and i believed i was richer than the people in Santa hats and such because i had never really bought anything from anyone. my daily routine on RuneScape was to kill cows for an inventory of cow hides and cook their meat during killing them, then I would walk to varrock and sell the hides to the general store for what i thought was a ton of cash. After this i would go to the goblin village and search all the sacks hoping that i would actually find something then i would kill all the goblins and venture out to draynor to cut willows so i could burn them and get my fire making level to 99 , In my noob years I was a great definition of a true noob, I never knew of the lumbridge swamps or the farms between lumbridge and draynor, i did not know of draynor castle or of the east side of varrock i spent my time in the west side of falador to the goblin village to varrock west bank to lumbridge and draynor i never wen to edgeville nor did i go to barbarian village i though the only entrance to varrock was the south, when i made my account a member for the first time i was overwhelmed with seeing items that were worth a third of my cash stack all over the place. i never knew what partyhats where and i could figure out how to train efficient enough to get to a higher level( my noob account made it to level 56 before i forgot about RuneScape for a bit and didnt remember my account name or password)
Sorry if i didn't put enough detail but this is as much as i could come up with off the top of my head as it is like 3 A.M. for me right now and i am currently mining on runescape. I am still extremely poor as i was scammed dicing a few weeks ago lol i should start dicing in oh haro der's clan he seems quite legit, hope i win this but if i don't congrats to the winner. -Blaze
