It's not an organized collection of disbeliefs. Again, it's a lack of belief in a god, disbelief implies inaccuracies, and it's singular, not multiple.

It makes it a rejection of a faith-based proposition, like how I elaborated initially. It's like how transparent is a color and like how bald is a haircut.

Atheists simply. However, I find it silly there's even a word for this ideology. When I wake up, I don't contemplate how I'm a non-cosmetologist, non-astrologer or non-janitor. There shouldn't be a word for a non-theist.

Its not classified as anything. If you dont like skateboarding, there isnt a specific classification for that. Also, It isnt the same as disliking skateboading, which I dont believe has a classification either.

I don't disagree with the concept of religion. Most religions teach love and faith in something greater. Plus they show a model (god) to aspire to. Not a bad gig. Anyways, I don't consider myself to be religious and see all of the good and bad objectively. Ie. catholic priests molesting children and so on... But I have a deep respect for people who truly commit to religion. It simply isn't for me.

Why is it that some Atheists get this idea that they are superior to people who aren't, that religion is for the weak minded, that religion is inferior?

And another thing I wanted to mention, why is it that when some people say things against Atheists, they say "don't judge an entire group on a small group of people." and whatnot, but a lot of the time, I see Atheists doing the exact same thing, judging religion based on extremists, such as the Westboro Baptist group. Isn't that a bit hypocritical?

Anyways, I'm just going to be reading the replies to this, I wont be replying to anyone, simply because I don't have the time, in the end, it comes down to "I have my beliefs, you have yours, I wont change yours, you wont change mine".

People have opinions, and people have their beliefs. Personally, I am atheist, but the overwhelming majority of my friends are religious. Why? Because their parents; they put them in CCD, forced it upon them, etc. Now, is everyone who is religious like this? No. However, in todays day and age, it pretty much is for that sole reason; parental influence forcing religion upon their kids.

Well I just want you to know that you failed as a parent if they do become a christian, for you did not teach the fallacious, hateful and violent scripture that is in the bible. Any young child can see that killing people, having slaves and sex slaves, and murdering by mass amounts, stoning people in public etc. is wrong. And if they cant see that it is wrong, again you have failed by not teaching good morals. And if you teach good morals but back it by the bible which is not a good book to reference morality, you have also failed. I am damn sure that when you "teach" them about christianity it will be bias. Dont sit here and act like your future child has a fair chance, because it doesnt. You'll probably tell the story of Noahs Ark like it was a positive, brave thing to do, and it was magical. But conveniently leave out the reason why there was a flood in the first place. Just like my church did to me when I was a kid.

Do you think an atheist chose the label? We are all born atheists, it just so happens there is this world full of religion that is constantly trying to indoctrine and influence our lives. Atheism is the "default" stance, it shouldnt need a label in the first place. Get the fuck out.

You're twisting my words, "seeing is believing" means seeing/experiencing something is proving it's existence. As for your whole magic trick theory goes, you can go look up the majority of how they are done on the internet and SEE their inner workings and as a result BELIEVE what is true.

On the topic of magic, you're believing in an all knowing almighty omniscient being that watches over the entire world.
