I voted no; however it really depends on the content you like to see in games.
Botting made Runescape Runescape if you ask me. Don't get me wrong it was a fun game back when I played legitimately, but in a busy life such as mine, (with school, sports, and all sorts of other activities) I didn't have time to mindlessly click away at a fishing spot for hours on end. That's where botting came in. It let me be away and busy while I trained to get the skill I wanted so I could have all the benefits with minimal work. Without botting there's just too much work involved for me to have the motivation to work for my skills so I can be rewarded with the many benefits that comes with training a skill. So now I just don't play because I can't find it fun. But the question of whether Runescape is more fun without botting really comes down to your preferences as a gamer. If you don't mind repetitive gameplay, Runescape still has a lot to offer for you. It has a very high work to reward ratio and will deliver to those who have the time to put into the game.
I think, because of that Runescape is always going to be just Runescape. It's not going to be anything more or anything less (unless the playerbase dies down). Runescape isn't moving in any direction because the content is always so repetitive. Even if they were to pump out a new skill, for example. It's always going to be click this, click that, click some more, and repeat 50,000 times to get to level 99. The quests are the only thing I would find fun if I were to play again with no botting. That seems to be one of the only things in the game that doesn't tend to be as repetitive.
Jagex also seems to have a 'fix whats not broken' mentality of their updates. I can't speak for recent updates, but back before botting was "abolished" they always had some tweak, which they thought was small, but had a large impact on the game.
Because of it's repetitive gameplay, and in my opinion, sub-par production quality, Runescape is always just going to be that browser MMO I used to play. In a day and age where technology increases more and more every day, Runescape being a browser MMO, is going to fall behind in terms of unique content and will always be bested by another MMO.
