It's technically black-hat, because your manipulating people for free things.
I propose it to be banned.

I have to agree with you here, I hate seeing people with no common sense fall for these stupid social engineers.

"Make johnathon mature" should be the suggestion, it's not hacking, it's just unethical, sorry you fail at interwebz.

When you can actually spell my name, and put up a decent argument, come back.

Maybe in 10 years when you've hit puberty and matured mentally.

I don't believe it should be against the Rules, as it's not technically 'Blackhatting'. But surely isn't white hat.

Making up lies to get a company/person to give you paid items, for free, I would say it's technically black-hat.

But regardless, it's a form of hacking, so it shouldn't be allowed.

Eh, just more of telling white lies and out smarting the other person.

Gaining an advantage in which the victim is un-aware of.

Please grow up, stop taking my thread off-topic.

Tbh if you fall for such a thing then you learn to be more responsible and not trust anyone you meet on the internet

The definition of "Social Engineering" is not receiving free things from people.
Have you ever studied SEing? If anything it makes you more intelligent and you're more aware about your surroundings.
I'm glad that I've taken that in as a part of my life.

This is human manipulation, how the hell is this hacking?
