Be your own host?

hello, I want to be able to build many websites without paying hosting and without having the limitations of free hosting.
I have an old pc which i can dedicate to it.
i am aware of the security problem, but I'm not sure whether it's a danger for the server computer or also all the computers on my internet network.
I'm also not really sure how i can do this.

can somebody give me advice?

I don't think you can do that with a computer. Even if you could it would be extremely slow

I don't recommend it at all mate.

Just get cheap web hosting. Because you'll have to maintain alot of security issues and networking yourself. Too much to explain on this forum mate.

If you don't want to have to pay, you could just use free hosting, they really don't have all that many limitations..

If you need to ask about it, it's not recommendatory. Instead it's a good idea to use a free host or pay for one - that way you don't need to worry about your ISPs limits, or your security issues.

I did this and the 2nd day all my computers were crashed. I sell hosting if you can make me a trade I will see what I can do.

I would SAY GO FOR IT. I hosted my site nuclearrambo.com from my own home server (an old comp) for about 1 year. And then i shifted to free hosting.
