Here's from a study made by Morris Sorrells of National Organization of Circumcision Information Resources Center and colleagues. They created some sort of "penile sensitivity map" by measuring the sensitivity of 19 locations on the penises of 159 male volunteers. Of the participants, 91 were circumcised as infants and none had histories of penile or sexual dysfunction.

A more detailed report by them confirming that an uncircumcised penis is more sensitive to that of a circumcised one:

For circumcised penises, the most sensitive region was the circumcision scar on the underside of the penis, the researchers found. For uncircumcised penises, the areas most receptive to pressure were five regions normally removed during circumcision—all of which were more sensitive than the most sensitive part of the circumcised penis.

The circumcision debate is like science-based vs non-science based therapies, where evidence and debate rarely changes views. However, it is guaranteed to incite strong responses, responses of both supporting and opposing arguments. Hence, it is an appropriate topic to debate over.

I don't know about you, but determining a debate topic shouldn't be that complicated. Basically, something that you are open to discussing and open to having your opinions criticized by others. The fact that you think that having no control over circumcision makes it something to not debate over is just ridiculous lol.

Furthermore, it really looks like you've gotten the wrong idea. It's not why or why not we have circumcision. It's more like, "Is circumcision a good or bad thing?" or "Is it better to be a circumcised or non-circumcised male?"

Depends, but your parents do, and uncircumcised men in their adulthood can still decide whether to get circumcised. That comparison is flawed.

It's not cleaner, that's a common misconception and I already pointed out that's untrue in this thread. An uncircumcised penis is as clean as a uncircumcised one. It being more aesthetic is an opinion.

Your son will have short-term effects lasting up to 6 months, potentially longer, from circumcision, and the pain will be excruciating and overwhelming.

Yes, the statistic that only 20% of men are circumcised, typically for a religious purpose. Whilst 80% of men are intact. Don't forget about the rapid increase in intactness over the last decades in the mid-west.

This is true. As long as proper cleaning is done, a not circumcised penis is just as healthy as one that is circumcised.
