@Philly, I would honestly put it down to medium bro, there really isn't a point in having it on high, I don't think it really adds anything extra and you IP will still be hidden even on medium.

@Ocean, I thought that sitelock wasn't for DDoSing? I thought it was only for sql injections ext.

Well, my friend had it on his website, and nobody could ever DDOS it. He said it was really nice, and he doesn't regret having it.

You should try to lower it and see if it checks less often.

I don't think it would lower the security too much.

I know for a fact it doesn't check at all on other levels. however this works well, and stops attacks before they happen. Which is why I have it on this setting.

Hmm interesting, I am going to look more into it. Personally CF is really annoying now days.
But, at least it does the job!

Okay, you should try SiteLock for a month though. They have a free trial. These browser checks are really annoying. >.<

It gets really annoying. That's why I prefer SiteLock.

I'm starting to hate Cloudflare. It checks everytime I log on my Smartphone.

Okay, I guess it's decided.

It's too bad, I was really hoping that it would be changed, but it's not my forum. :(

Come on Philly. Cloudflare has reduced user activity and many are complaining. Can't we have the checks reduced to 2 or 3 like HF?

Itz insane how often it does it for me, it seems to be doing it every couple minutes, then just straight takes like a minute to load ForumKorner. It should be set to once every 24hours or so.

As far as I know it only supposed to be checked once and saved in your cookies that you have been checked. I haven't really looked or payed attention to when it does it to me however I know it happens numerous times per day. It's annoying as fuck but at least we are not having any downtime.
You do know there are cloud flare resolvers. All you have to do is resolve the domain and you have the direct IP.

Yeah, but I've never been able to hit a site offline that has Cloudflare enabled, so I don't think Cloudflare only hides your site's IP.

Anyways, I still think FK should switch to Site Lock.

They could always try out ddos mitigation from staminus.net

I have used it myself and I will tell you this. You get what you pay for.

I'm sure that it's extremely effective, but it looks a little pricey especially compared to Site Lock, but maybe it wouldn't be pricey to Philly's standard's.

Either way, I still think that something should be done about this because the amount of checks Cloudflare does in a short period of time is ridiculous.
