[Debate] Space - What do we know about it

Hello MF,

As my first debate thread here on MF I would like to start a debate about the space in general.

Firstly lets start with some questions.

  • Was the space always there? if not, what was there?
  • Is space 'unlimited' or does it have an end?
  • Are there other planets like Earth is?
  • Are we alone(humans)?

The universe is growing and we've proved that. There is trillions of earth like planets with other beings on it I think. It could be a type of race or a type of bacteria.

No one really understand space, as it's so vast. I don't believe that we'll ever actually inhabit space, as the economical reasons aren't there.
It costs hundreds of millions of dollars to take one trip and would take even more if we wanted to actually inhabit and live in space.
The only planet that I could think would be similar to Earth (in our galaxy) would be Mars, because of the history of lakes that were found. I believe that it's impossible to fathom if we are alone or not in the universe. There is no way of actually knowing what is out there. It's a very hard topic to debate, because no one really knows much about it.

I don't think space was always there, nothing can be infinate in my mind.
Like above
Yes, I do believe there is. I doubt god would create only one world. or perhaps there is another god for the other worlds
No, we are not alone.

If we would travel trillion of light years away from our galaxy, will there be anything? Maybe another dimension?

Maybe, it will still end somewhere, sometime.

- I believe that the Big Bang created the universe. But, planets, stars, and everything in between could have been there before. Everything must begin somehow, but the origin of it all is unknown.

Is space 'unlimited' or does it have an end?

- There will be an end somewhere.

Are there other planets like Earth is?

Are we alone(humans)?

- We will not know for a long time.

Sky-, what was before the big bang, at the very first start? I think no one will be able to answer on that, ever.
I'm also wondering how would the 'end' look alike, and where it would be? Did you ever thought of that we(our galaxy) is a small bacteria? And that there's something even bigger out there.

Nobody will be able to determine that. :(

I think of this all the time, what if we're just some kids science experiment?

A trillion miles would be a little bit out of our solar system lmfao.

That's huge. maybe we can speak about trillion light years, that's a difference.

Why are you asking questions that even the most advanced astronomers and physicists can't themselves answer?

A trillion light years maybe be able to get us half way to the next galaxy haha. Our universe has around 500 trillion galaxies in it and is expanding as we speak. It's to huge for a human to comprehend. Plus, with that many galaxies, how could there not be at least one other planet like ours?

Yesterday night I watched a documentary about life in other planets. If any planet have water maybe have and life.

We not have this knowledge to answer all of these questions.

Of course there are planet's like earth, everything in life is duplicate and/or is based off of something. Take the wheel for example, The earliest well-dated depiction of a wheeled vehicle (here a wagon—four wheels, two axles), is on the Bronocice pot, a ca. 3500–3350 BCE clay pot excavated in a Funnelbeaker culture settlement in southern Poland. And years later the wheel was modified in the 1870's and it is still being modified as we speak. So the whole point of this is, the wheel was based off of of a wheel it can only be modified nothing more can be done to it. So if the're planet's they must be based off of something maybe like earth, so yes the're are planet's like earth.

Well to us space will be eternity, because we can never rich the end. About space being there or just appearing to me is not true. have you ever heard about the big bang well I believe in the big bang but my version of it. "God made it all happen" cause if nothing was there then there's no reason, So in that case "reason" does not exist in that point, nor does time. And the're other species like us, we just don't know about them and some we do know about the government keep's it a secret. Because if you knew there were aliens coming to earth wouldn't you say the world was ending or something similar?

We don't even know if other "beings" need water to survive like us. Maybe they need Carbon or helium? We don't know. In the end, we can never reach the end of space and time. Impossible. I also believe you about the big bang/God theory Rampage.

It would be impressive to find another planet with humans on it that would be more or less intelligent.

No I do not think space was always there, I really do not know nor do I have a idea on what was there though.
Yes I think space does have a end. It may be really big and expanding all the time but I do think it has a end although it may be far away.
Yes I do think there is other planets like earth, and I am pretty sure this was proven with the Keplar mission that there was about 54 earth like planets . Look that up if you don't already know.
And no I do not think we are alone. there has got to be other people on other planets life years away.

I also think that there is earth like planets but most of them was destroyed by the beings colonizing it. They turned on each other like what we are doing and went extinct because of it. Mars for example, I believe there was living beings on it but they destroyed themselves. We know there's ice on both caps of mars and what it seems to be ocean/lakes and river like wastelands. We will turn into what mars is in the near future. And we will turn into Venus if we don't stop using polluting type gases.
