Same as me but I'm trying to summarize it and it's really hard to do so. I know the theory of the "Big Bang" to how stars are made. I know a lot haha.

Why are you asking questions that even the most advanced astronomers and physicists can't themselves answer?

It's pretty logical, why do people ask questions? To receive answers. Why do they want answers? To quench their thirst for knowledge.

But that's another question for an answer my young friend. The answer is we can never quench our thirst for knowledge. There will always be something we want to know one way or another.

Universe at the moment is endless, and we're millions of years away from finding another answer. It's stupidly big. You can fit hundreds of "earths" in Jupiter, and you can fit hundreds of Jupiters in other planets near our solar system. There is millions and billions of solar systems out there, which means trillions and trillions of planets. Those numbers are hard to even write. For anyone to argue that lifeforms outside of Earth doesn't exist is rather ignorant I say. We can only vaguely see one other galaxy, and there's millions of galaxies. People, understand those numbers if you can.

Space. Is. Huge.

Here's an interesting fact, im not sure if it is indeed true anymore, but at the time of watching it was.

I watched a show on the discovery channel (my favourite channel) about deep sea. And at the time of airing, we actually knew more about space, than we do about our own ocean.

Thats one to think about :)

True and Crayo, you are wrong about our Universe. It doesn't have a end but is expanding due to all of the matter/Galaxies in the universe. It's like a balloon. We put air/Galaxies in it and it expands. That's whats happening to the universe we are in.

That's true, I have also wondered what's there under the ocean. As I've seen there are some weird looking creatures. Like a fish that has a transparent body and has a light on his head.

Don't speak as if you know that as fact. Like I said in my post "the universe is endless". But we're years away from being certain of that, or finding its end.

We know it has a end as scientists did find out. Watch the History or Science channel. They did a whole episode on that topic. They know our Universe is expanding.

Listen scientist are people too, the only difference is that they have a diploma that declares them scientist. Sometimes scientist go out and take information from the public in such a manner that you do not even know they are doing it. So because the're scientist it does not make them any smarter than us.

Hello MF,

As my first debate thread here on MF I would like to start a debate about the space in general.

Firstly lets start with some questions.

  • Was the space always there? if not, what was there?
  • Is space 'unlimited' or does it have an end?
  • Are there other planets like Earth is?
  • Are we alone(humans)?

  • Was the space always there? if not, what was there? -IT is been longer then the earth exist.
  • Is space 'unlimited' or does it have an end? Nobody know's. I think it is unlimited.
  • Are there other planets like Earth is? Yea prbably, the universe is 10000 times the universe we live in. That has been proven so..
  • Are we alone(humans)? No, their is more.

Our solar system is only 4.6 billion years old. Our galaxy is above a trillion years old I believe. 4.6 billion years old is very young for a planets life.

There is no end to space. If you can't comprehend that, you weren't meant to.

Actually they are smarter, because they have studied way more then 99% of the people who just watched discovery channel for a few hours.
