Donator+ Shoutbox

I like the idea of it being Elite+, gives people a reason to upgrade and upgrades are 1000x more important then posts.

Support.

The way I see it it would bring in MORE activity, it would streamline the forum.

Bump this up and hopefully a staff member sees this and considers the possibilities. Adding a shoutbox has the opportunity to boost the activity on the forums. Please read and consider!

Donator's should get ID bracelets.

Is any admin even going to consider looking at this? Forum is already dead, but even admins don't look into suggestions that will increase activity immensely. Please consider, thanks.

I don't understand how a shout box for sponsors(which is only 10-20 that are active) will "immensely" increase activity

Well what ideas do you have to raise forum activity? Currently even if we get one new registered member, that's "immensely" increasing activity. At least give it a shot and see how it goes. People will get another benefit from donating to RG.

It would be for Elite+ and instead of raising activity it would raise the amount of upgrades which would give the site some cash to purchase advertising which in turn increases activity.

You have to think in the longer run of things.

Oh please you can glorify this shoutbox all you want but in reality if somebody doesn't want to upgrade I don't see a shoutbox being a deal maker. And even if 3-4(which is a stretch) people upgrade to use it, that wouldn't even cover the extra cost of the bandwidth for a month.

Do you honestly think a shoutbox uses even remotely any bandwidth to be even CONSIDERED a issue.

Cmon, even I know you're brighter then that.

the only thing they tweaked in any if those is removing auto-refresh which defeats the purpose of a chat box anyways

If i click a forum on google and i seen it has a shoutbox i just exit straight away, its a way to tell that the site has failed as a forum or is run by kids, plus shoutboxes do not work on successfull sites because they will just get spammed.

Near-reality.com now, granted, I know that they have a server and that is the main reason for them being so well known. However, they do have extremely active forums with users that have well over 13k posts. This site is neither run by kids, nor is it a failure as a forum.
