Beats said:I still think my PVR has better quality than this
Elected said:Yeah I got some stuff for you to record. My gamertag is: Rsrv
Hit me up please
Durantula said:Hey Chronos, can you contact me on aim(rise) because I am really considering buying this.
I just want to make sure I'll be able to set it up and record with ease and put my clips on youtube with no problem.
I've never done this before.
Chronos said:Dat ignorance. It all comes down to opinion honestly, but comparing hardware and software of each of the capture cards, the Elgato wins by a mile.
Sent you a FR, let me know when you need the recording done.
Contacting you now. I'll also be messing with some 1080p settings for the Elgato, I'll post back with a video showing it off.
Beats said:Yo make sure that your TV is also 1080p cause it won't record in 1080p if your TV isn't.
Tupac said:Looks like my PVR in my opinion. But this is cheaper and smaller, so congratulations Chronos
Cole said:Is it true your TV has to be 1080p for it to work? If so, how would I check if my tv is 1080p?
and I only have 3GB RAM on my laptop... so I wouldn't be able to use this?
Cole said:You sure about this? Because I seen on a setup video the game said your tv must be 1080p.. not sure if my tv is, but it is pretty HQ
I just don't want to waste money and my TV nor Laptop is good enough.
Cole said:Ight, I'll buy it. If it turns out I can't do shit with it because of TV or Laptop, I'm throwing it out the window...
Chronos said:You'll know you have an HDTV if you go to your Xbox 360's display settings, and you can change it to 720p, 1080p, 1080i, etc. It if sticks and asks you if you'd like to change, you can do it. If it reverts, you can't do it. For example, my TV can record up to 1080i, instead of 1080p. The only real requirement is that you can use an HDMI Cable, or Component Cables (the white and red for audio, blue red green for picture). If your TV can either accept HDMI or Component (most likely both) your TV can do HD. Your laptop should be perfectly fine. It may run a bit sower than normal but it's not too under the required settings. If you're scared, you could always get a RAM stick or try and overclock.
Cole said:I see 1080p when I go to Display settings but it says "HDTV output is disables" so I just need that HDMI cable to be able to use 1080p eh? It doesn't come with Elgato?
So far everything is looking good... might get it
