Trusted people usually have a lot of posts and a lot of rep. This is because they wouldn't spend all that time gaining those posts and rep to throw it all away with a stupid scam.
They should also have a lot of vouches. You can get vouches from other members by doing deals with them, and if everything goes smoothly they will vouch for you.

Dont be deceived by rep. In example Doctor, Vodka, and others have all scammed with high rep. I'd assure you mm then after getting familiar is when I'd let them go first or you first.
