God said:On a more serious note, I have 3 years experience with IT. And honestly I don't think you will be able to fix this without actually opening up your Mac and cleaning out your touchpad. Wait for it to dry, if it still doesn't work open UK your Mac and GENTLY clean it with something small. Preferably a Q-tip. You could also try compressed air for faster drying. Otherwise you might have to get it sent off to Apple to be fixed. They will either fix it or give you a brand new Mac.
Yes, but be very careful. Concentrating to much heat can ruin the components. Turn the blow dryers heat down to the lowest it can get. It should dry fairly fast, once you do that turn your Mac back on and see if it works. If not take a Qtip and swab the spots on the pad that need attention, do it gently because you could get cotton stuck inside and worsen the situation, make sure you clean it as thoroughly as possible. Be VERY careful not to swab to hard and break one of the pins inside, if that happens you're fucked. If this doesn't work then you'll just have to send it off.Michael said:I'll open it up and have a look tomorrow after school, would a blowdryer from a distance help?

God said:@Michael do NOT put rice in it. The rice will leave shit behind and its hard to get out. Rice won't help you in this situation. It only works with phones. Trust me, you don't want to put rice inside your computer.
