Fear of death

Sure, there are thousands, but there is so much we don't know about this world that we must find out.

Didn't I already say in another thread that I wish for a better world for those after me and I wish to advance our scientific knowledge to aid those people?

This is what I was replying to the most.
You trying to become a scientist would not ensure that people live longer during your lifetime, unless you cured AIDs, found a way to cure cancer completely, etc.

Honestly, I wouldn't say I fear death for the sake of being afraid of being dead, that's merely the next step of understanding, I fear death for the impact it will have on those around me.
