For all of you that are using Norton

Oh ya we have another one for McAfee.. Ok the change over from Norton to McAfee you guys will be shocked.. The Norton said everything was fine on the last scan switched over scanned and said it found 3 virus that were removed.. I now dont trust norton now.. The Norton came free on the computer so who knows it might just be a test verison. But if I was to guess it was a test verison I would think they would do the best one they have to impress us, but I guess not...

I have been using Symantec and must agree with it. I don't think antivirus is a necessity if you are careful enough. Though, you do need some protection from Internet.

Finaly people who agree norton just sticks a bunch of shiz on your pc saying protect emails ect. that means they would need like 10-20 departments just for all there features. Use this and you fail

Every time I re-install Vista I get Norton for free, slows down my laptop like an idiot and it never works. I just delete it right away and get Avira Free, works fine to me.

Also windows vista has some disadvantages.
It is a fail OS
Slow down in my dad's laptop but atm when I install 7, it works faster than vista.

Vista is laggy os and maybe thats the reason, the ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE lag/slow down like an idiot?

I don't think that's the problem, I customized Vista a bit and it's even faster than my sisters laptop now, she got Win 7 and my laptop is 2 years older than her laptop.

You should not get norton install on a reformat!

You can only disable so much vista is a ram eater. Windows 7 is more optimized.

Yeah. I love AVG. It's a very trustworthy one, until it goes out of date. I think Norton actually once even GAVE me a virus o.o
