I agree with you guys, I don't even bother to join the contest because i know for a fact i will never win. Because i'm not gonna stay on here all night and spam away like others. I'm lucky if i post 10 times/week. I've been on runegear for months and i'm not even at 100 posts.

People complain about eXero and say they aren't taking part in the competition anyway, then why get butthurt over someone posting way more than you?

Contest rules are fine as they are All they should have not changed was the Number of letters in each post It should have stayed at 60

Jonathan, you talk about causing commotion and rivalry. It wouldn't cause commotion and rivalry if members didn't get so aggravated that someone is more dedicated than they are. If you are happy to send me over 250M RSGP then please do so, and you'll get to choose the contest. Although, when It's my money I'm sacrificing, which I don't even have to, I can take all the money users donate and buy myself a brand new computer, although I'm giving it back to the forum. The least I can get in return is an active forum, which mind you, this contest didn't get. We've had the same activity and traffic just like the time we didn't even have contests.

Also, why would I give away money if it wouldn't benefit the forum? Tutorial of the month, awesome. Adds more work for Staff to check for stolen work, who decides the best guide, what is the precedent.

Another person suggested a likes contest. Simple scenario. You like my post, I'll like yours. The person who has the most time to message his friends wins.

What other suggestions. Referral contest = No. Users will post a tumblr topic like they did before, refer 250 members and bam! Nothing from those users. Just a clogged up, 1mb larger database.

If someone can suggest a legit contest besides this one, go for it. Otherwise stick with this and let it go. As TE said it's his money and he chooses what to do.

Hmmm, maybe since this IS an Runescape forum maybe have contests relating to RS. @[The Elite], Wake up, Eveytime we have an RG points contest, there are threads about hating his contest. A lot of people do not like it and it is getting repetitive.

Maybe have drop partys in RS or have competitions.
