Social Darwinism encourages us to feel superior to others. It throws compassion, empathy, equality, and freedom straight out of the proverbial window.

I agree social darwinism isn't always a good thing but it's human nature, it is what it is and it's what makes us human. The fact social darwinism exist shows our bad side. You can't just ignore it because you don't like it you need to learn to embrace it.

There is no valid evidence of Social Darwinism. The ideology is debunked in high school biology classrooms for a reason.

So Europes conquest to take over the planet was not evidence of this? I was told they enslaved other cultures and disregarded their inferior ideas/religions, but I guess that is 'debunked' in biology classrooms. please elaborate on your claim.

Social Darwinism - The application of Darwinism to the study of human society, specifically a theory in sociology that individuals or groups achieve advantage over others as the result of genetic or biological superiority.

Social Darwinism is a sociological and political theory that dictates that certain troops, individuals, races are biologically and genetically superior than their adversaries. The concept was created to explain the differences in appearance, culture and perceived intelligence of the different racial troops; that consisting of Europeans, Asians, American Natives, Africans and lastly Australian Aboriginals, in that order if I remember correctly. As well as to justify racial policies. The theory was essentially a perversion of the theory of evolution.

The Axis' (specifically Germany) envisage to regulate the world does not prove anything. Besides, it was an act of eugenics, artificial selection through controlled breeding to escalate the occurrence of desirable hereditary traits; that being blonde hair and blue eyes. It was as well an attempt to eradicate the unfavored, the Jews. The Holocaust was an act of mass artificial selection and the venture to conquer does suggest the evolutionary principle "survival to the fittest", however, neither acts definitively prove there's an inferior or superior troop, that Social Darwinism is indeed true.

The entire genetic and biological foundation of Social Darwinism has been debunked by modern science anyways. Social Darwinism is quite thankfully dead.

Humans are humans. If one group can survive a disease and another can't, that doesn't make them superior in anyway. As much as you want to believe people are genetically inferior to you, it is simply false. You're playing with the dangerous idea of superiority. Feelings of superiority will almost always lead to intolerance, violence, hate and oppression. The idea that you are illustrating here is Social Darwinism. This idea has been proven false. It is in every way racist, as much you deny it. The feeling of "genetic superiority" is racist by definition.

As i have mentioned numerous times in my post prior to this, it still exist.
Not sure why you keep trying to state social darwinism is no longer here. It is clearly here, there is not even an argument to made about that, it's not influential anymore in terms of politics but it still exist. As I also stated before just because it's not liked doesn't mean it just disappears (last I checked the westboro baptist church still exist).


I did numerous reports on darwinism and social darwinism for my AP WH class. If I can find it somewhere i'll scan it and upload it but it goes into great detail and uses examples of how social darwinism still exist in modern day society and how it's applied today.


@Leader not sure why you are confusing social darwinism with racism as that makes it much more confusing. Social Darwinism has nothing to do with race in anyway. If one brother is a genius, rich and is great a life while the other was extremely poor and died of starvation...well then that is survival of the fittest. They where the same race but one was more fit for survival than the other. Hopefully that clears up your confusion.
