It's not entirely about the post account. It's about giving back. Considering it's right at Christmas. What is a better time to do it?

Doesn't matter to me either way, people are going to do whatever they want so yeah... No skin off my ass. you guys all think I make so much though which you have wrong. I don't make close to what you all think. At this time every month I gotta spend tons on FK. Which seems like it gets to be more and more every month. Making the profit less and less. Whatever it takes to keep Fk up though. I never made Fk for the money to begin with I made it for the community, for a place for people to come to with rules, and shit that i felt where better than all other forums around at the time.

IIRC you're hosted on a quite expensive managed dedi right? I'm sure you can reduce your spending. A relatively decent VPS will drastically reduce your monthly spending, allowing you to make more to either pocket or invest back into FK. A VPS would be fine for FK, trust me.

Yeah its spendy as fuck, but we have had literally no downtime sense I have been on this dedicated server. I think its kinda worth it. Most VPS's don't come near the stats FK is getting so that is why i chose a dedi.

That's a bit overdoing it in my opinion, but like you said you won't ever see any downtime at all.

But if you can afford it I guess splashing out isn't the end of the world if it keeps FK fast and secure.

It's right on the HG site. He might be getting some money off, but on the HG site it is, $279/mo recurring.

280 a month. I only use hostgator because I like them, and trust them. They have never let me done, and I am really comfortable with them. I am working on building my own server and I will actually host FK myself but that will be a while as I am buying it part by part and its expensive as fuck to build a half decent server. But I am in it for the long haul so there is no reason I shouldn't host Fk myself, as well as some other websites of mine.Although right now I don't host anything else on the dedi just Fk and I have separate packages for my other sites.
