I have tried absolutely everything to fix it, I think it is beyond the point of no return.drummer said:If I had no Xbox over break I'd kms. Good luck on getting it fixed.
PM me maybe it's something I can help you fix?

Check the power supply that happened to me before and my power cords were loose. If not, you're screwed.Greed said:The problem originally occurred whenever my game started lagging and froze, so I turned off my xbox. Now anytime it turns on there is only a black screen and sometimes it won't even get to that point and it will just show no connection, even though the xbox appears to be on. I've tried doing the hard reset probably 20 times now, I've tried leaving it unplugged for 2 days straight, and I've tried the offline update with a flash drive, but that didn't work either. It's definitely not my HDMI cord because it works with everything else, it's some sever internal problem I think. Sometimes it's even gotten to the green Xbox loading screen, but it never stops.

No, I just figured I'd send it in because I've been in chats with Microsoft Support and have done what they consider the absolute last resort, which is the offline update with a flash drive, and that did not work.Etiquette said:Huh. Thats strange. Have you tried going to any private electronic repair shops before you send it to Microsoft?
Yeah I've done it before where they send me a brand new one and I send them my old one, but I don't want to do that because I have all my games downloaded on my Xbox and I would lose them and have to re-download them, which is why I just want to send it in for repair. I just hope it takes 2 weeks, not 3.Philly said:I have had to do it a couple of times, usually they want you to send in your console then they'll just send you a completely different refurbished one after they make sure yours wasn't tampered with before sending it in. However I have also had them overnight one to me and then sending mine right after receiving the one they sent me, everything I got the new console it came with 3 free 1 month trials and then a 3-12 month prepaid card directly on top of the console inside the shipping box.
i didn't see the part about the all black screen my bGreed said:I can't clear anything when the screen is black and I can't use anything on the console.

This is what I would do or just do it myself, there is videos on how to do it all step by step, great learning experience.Devil said:you're better off getting it repaired locally. it takes too much time to send it in and get it back
