Has anyone sent in their console for repair before? I have to now because mine is fucked up, which sucks because I'll be without it over Christmas break.

If I had no Xbox over break I'd kms. Good luck on getting it fixed.
PM me maybe it's something I can help you fix?

I have tried absolutely everything to fix it, I think it is beyond the point of no return.

What exactly is wrong with it?

Internal or external problem?

The problem originally occurred whenever my game started lagging and froze, so I turned off my xbox. Now anytime it turns on there is only a black screen and sometimes it won't even get to that point and it will just show no connection, even though the xbox appears to be on. I've tried doing the hard reset probably 20 times now, I've tried leaving it unplugged for 2 days straight, and I've tried the offline update with a flash drive, but that didn't work either. It's definitely not my HDMI cord because it works with everything else, it's some sever internal problem I think. Sometimes it's even gotten to the green Xbox loading screen, but it never stops.

Check the power supply that happened to me before and my power cords were loose. If not, you're screwed.

Huh. Thats strange. Have you tried going to any private electronic repair shops before you send it to Microsoft?

did you try deleting the content cache

I can't clear anything when the screen is black and I can't use anything on the console.

No, I just figured I'd send it in because I've been in chats with Microsoft Support and have done what they consider the absolute last resort, which is the offline update with a flash drive, and that did not work.

I have had to do it a couple of times, usually they want you to send in your console then they'll just send you a completely different refurbished one after they make sure yours wasn't tampered with before sending it in. However I have also had them overnight one to me and then sending mine right after receiving the one they sent me, everything I got the new console it came with 3 free 1 month trials and then a 3-12 month prepaid card directly on top of the console inside the shipping box.

Yeah I've done it before where they send me a brand new one and I send them my old one, but I don't want to do that because I have all my games downloaded on my Xbox and I would lose them and have to re-download them, which is why I just want to send it in for repair. I just hope it takes 2 weeks, not 3.

i didn't see the part about the all black screen my b
best bet is to take it into a microsoft store near you

I sent my original Xbox 360 in like 10 times. It really sucked. Thankfully Xbox one doesn't really have issues like the 360 did. Most the time when things go wrong it is due to the preview update. I remember the first month the xb1 was out my disk tray didn't work due to a preview update. Two months latter they fixed the issue loll.

But real talk sending console in isn't bad because they get it fixed in about a week.

Never ever had to send one in.

I don't spill Mountain Dew over my Xbawkz

I remember back at launch there were so many being sent back! there was an xbox van that picked mine up and even gave a console for the time mine was in for repair, also got a gold card as a gift when they returned the repaired one. Love m$ for that

you're better off getting it repaired locally. it takes too much time to send it in and get it back

This is what I would do or just do it myself, there is videos on how to do it all step by step, great learning experience.

Can't you just take your hard drive out your xbox and then send it in?
Pretty sure when I sent mine for repair (a good 7-8 years ago now) I was required to remove the hard drive and just send the xbox itself.
I was using the overheating method to get it back working again (RROD) and in the end they sent me a refurbished one around a week later.
