Has Anyone Sent in Their Console for Repair?

Can't you just take your hard drive out your xbox and then send it in?
Pretty sure when I sent mine for repair (a good 7-8 years ago now) I was required to remove the hard drive and just send the xbox itself.
I was using the overheating method to get it back working again (RROD) and in the end they sent me a refurbished one around a week later.

I have sent in my Ps3 in the shop once when it stopped working and kept freezing if that's what you are talking about I can help you with that.

As in physically or they actually need it? Not sure if it's changed but I took mine out.. then again that was some years ago

Ah, well you can still do it but I wouldn't advise it unless you know what your doing.
Also not sure if it voids your warranty
